Claims Auditor
The Board of Education of the Shelter Island Union Free School District is seeking an individual or accounting firm to serve as Claims Auditor.
The Claims Auditor will report directly to the Board of Education and will review all warrants and claims against the school district. The Claims Auditor will also authorize payment by the District Treasurer.
Applicants for this position should possess excellent mathematical skills, the ability to make sound judgements and a high degree of personal integrity. Familiarity with school district accounting and a CPA license is desirable.
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 4 hours per week, including alternate Tuesday mornings.
